(SportsNetwork.com) - The Orlando Magic will try to end a losing streak Sunday night as they continue a homestand at Amway Center against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Magic have lost three in a row and started this stay with a 101-94 loss to the Utah Jazz on Friday night. The Jazz jumped on the Magic early, taking a 12-point lead after the first quarter. Utah took a 49-43 margin into the break. Trey Burke banked in a jumper to cap a 10-5 sprint and help Utah re-establish control, staking it to a 62-52 spread. It was up by as many as 17 before settling for an 81-66 margin going into the fourth. Orlando never got within less than six in the final 12 minutes. We just have to play harder, said Orlando guard Evan Fournier. We cant be down 12 against Utah in the first quarter. Thats on us. Tobias Harris netted 24 points and Fournier provided 21 for the Magic, who have dropped five of their last six games. Nikola Vucevic had 16 points and nine rebounds and Elfrid Payton scored 11 off the bench. The Magic still have to face the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers on this homestand. The Sixers have lost five straight, including all three on a recent residency at home. They begin a seven-game road trip Sunday then visit the Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers. On Friday, the Sixers fell to the Charlotte Hornets, 109-91. The loss dropped the Sixers to 0-14 at home this season. They are five losses from matching the 1993-94 Dallas Mavericks (0-19) for the worst home start in NBA history, but they wont be getting closer to the mark any time soon. Their next home game is Jan. 5 against Cleveland. Robert Covington and Tony Wroten scored 19 points apiece to lead Philadelphia and Michael Carter-Williams had 14 points and 10 assists. The Sixers trailed by 20 at the half. The first half set the stage for the loss, said Sixers coach Brett Brown. I thought the second half was better. We searched and found a group that got us (closer). The Sixers traded guard Alexey Shved to Houston on Friday as part of the three-team deal that sent Corey Brewer from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the Rockets. In return, the Sixers got injured forward Ronny Turiaf from Minnesota and a 2015 second-round draft pick from Houston. The Sixers also acquired the rights to Spanish League player Sergei Lishchuk, who was drafted 10 years ago but has never played in the NBA. The Magic dispatched the Sixers by two in Philly on Nov. 5 when Harris made a buzzer-beater. Orlando has taken three straight in the series and six in a row as the host. Jesse Gonzalez Jersey . The Spanish champions decision not to sign a defender during the January transfer window may have backfired after Valencia took advantage of a lethargic, uninspired effort by its hosts at the Camp Nou, where former Spain coach Luis Aragones -- who previously coached the Catalan side -- was honoured after his death on Saturday. Gyasi Zardes Jersey . The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. "The important thing is to help the team win, not the goals," Diego Costa said. After a first half dominated by defence, Atletico pressed Valencia into its area and Diego Costa did the rest. The NHLs Mar. 5 Trade Deadline is drawing closer and teams will be deciding on whether to buy or sell while figuring out which players can make the biggest difference and hold the greatest value. Do the defending Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks need to be even better? Chicago Sun-Times reporter Mark Lazerus spoke to Comcast Sportsnet and recalled last seasons acquisition of Michal Handzus and said, "I think just like last year (GM Stan Bowman will) be in the market for a center. I dont know if it will be quote-unquote a second-line center, but they do need some depth down at the middle," Lazerus told CSNs Pat Boyle. Lazerus said that the Blackhawks are currently carrying a surplus of defencemen and could use one potentially as trade bait. Bigger in Texas Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill spoke to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News and discussed his teams ability, if they choose, to trade draft picks for rosterr players because the team has the cap space to allow such a deal.dddddddddddd Nill would not get into player specifics, but Heika suggested in his article that pending unrestricted free agents Vernon Fiddler and Ray Whitney could be desirable to other clubs. Heika also noted that Sergei Gonchar, Erik Cole, and Shawn Horcoff each have one year left on their deals and with a rising salary cap, their manageable costs might be attractive to teams as well. Leaky Pipes The Minnesota Wild are struggling with injuries to both of their goalies, Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding. Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports that Wild GM Chuck Fletcher has talked trade with some teams, but the market is drying up with Devan Dubnyk and Ben Scrivens now off the board after they were moved last week. Russo says the team has talked internally about signing free agent Jose Theodore in case they need some insurance. Theodore is living in South Florida and has been working out throughout the season just in case a call comes.
